Who am i
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the bright and morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
whom shall i fear
whom shall i fear
i am yours

I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;
I remembered my songs in the night. My heart mused and my spirit inquired:
"Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?
Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?
Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?" (Psalm 77:5-9)Ha, just when I read this psalm of david, it seems like whatever he feels becomes whatever I will feel for the day. And thank God I read this psalm, so that I can go through the day. My thoughts are of the former days, of this friendship I treasure so dearly. And I inquire like David about the Lord. Sometimes, when things don't go our way, we all do feel this way about God... if His love has vanished forever etc etc. Yet this is what David said later. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. (Psalm 77:11-12)The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you and writhed; the very depths were convulsed.
(Psalm 77:16)
Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.
You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.(Psalm 77:19-20)Yep, even the red sea cringed and convulsed at the command of God. Though sometimes we may not see God's footprints in our lives, here is the truth - That God will lead us through the sea, through the mighty waters. And so knowing all these, I commit this friendship to You, praying that You will preserve it. And I pray You will lead me out of this mighty waters soon.

Today my tuition girl asked me, "Teacher, why do you look so sad?" Yes, indeed she guessed it right when she asked me why I looked so sad. But surprisingly, that one innocent question woke me up to my senses and God filled my heart with so much love and compassion towards her. Here I was giving tuition, but there in my mind I had other thoughts which are causing me to feel sad. He opened my eyes to see that there were more important things on hand, more important people who were on His agenda, more important people to love and care for. Lord, open my circle of influence. Open my heart to love more people and accept more people into my life. Make my joy complete in You...Whenever I am worried about my future, this song comforts me:I dont know about tomorrowI just live from day to dayI dont borrow from its sunshineFor its skies may turn to greyI don't worry o'er the futureFor I know what Jesus saidAnd today I'll walk beside HimFor He knows what is aheadMany things about tomorrowI dont seem to understandBut I know who holds tomorrowAnd I know who holds my hand“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”-
Romans 12:12"Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." -
1 Thes 5:16-18
